In general, there was no credible evidence to demonstrate that detox kits do anything at all. She has made such a difference in the way I relate to fitness (hey, exercise CAN be fun, who knew?!) that whenever I’m looking for new workout clothes or equipment, I see if she sells them first. (I’ve bought PopFlex, an infuser bottle, stretch bands, the 2016 journal, etc.) She charges $0 for her calendars, which is INSANITY, so let’s not forget that or take it for granted. In medicine, detoxification can be achieved by decontamination of poison ingestion and the use of antidotes as well as techniques such as dialysis and (in a limited number of cases) chelation therapy.
Certain approaches in alternative medicine claim to remove "toxins" from the body through herbal, electrical or electromagnetic treatments. These toxins are undefined and have no scientific basis, making the validity of such techniques questionable. I get your point, I was a little starteled to see her promote her own product at the end of a seemingly solely informational post but then again, after all that’s what she does. She puts time and effort and passion into those programs and promotes a general enthusiasm for working out. She doesn’t say her workouts are the only ones that work but in fact, she did a really smart rethorical and argumentative move by saying why she thinks something (in this case the wicked teatox industry) is wrong and underlined it with her research and didn’t leave followers with an empty fact but actually provided one possible alternative to effectively reaching a goal and persuading people into being healthy in a way she (and many others) believe in.

Besides sewage, other forms of pollution, such as garbage, industrial waste, human and animal remains, ashes from cremations or even whole dead bodies are thrown into the Ganges. Yet, ritually, this is the cleanest water there is.
So why do the before and after pictures that promote these fads look so convincing? It’s simple. As I mentioned before, weight loss works on the basis of caloric deficit. Therefore by replacing meals with teas or juices that have a lower caloric content you may see an initial drop in weight. However, this approach to weight loss is not only unsustainable but often results in regaining extra weight as you go back to your usual eating habits. Ultimately, if it’s too good to be true it most likely is. Don’t buy into fake promises or worse still fake results. Great article. I think it’s really important to choose a detox that involves food. Many people choose liquid detox’s such as the master cleanse but this just destroys your metabolism. It did come with a booklet that said for best results you should avoid wheat and dairy and you should exercise and eat lots of veggies.
