Often times, we think the best weight-loss strategies start with a lofty exercise program. But the reality is that workouts are only one part of the picture, and there are a slew of recommendations for how much exercise we should be getting on a regular basis. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), for example, recommends that adults should exercise 150 minutes a week at a moderate intensity, or incorporate 75 minutes a week of vigorous-intensity aerobic activity. Hi Kristina! These are some great questions! I need to be on a healthier protocol as I feel SO much better when I do. It really does help alleviate so many of my symptoms. I find that anxiety can creep in so when it does, I reach for certain herbs. This is what works for me so ask your naturopathic doctor for what may be best for you. I like Rhodiola, ashwagandha, and vitamin B-12, Vitamin D, magnesium (malate, citrate, glycinate), and siberian ginseng. Those can be powerful, especially the ginseng for energy levels. Sweating is a good thing! My detox routine (remember, lifestyle) includes drinking six to eight glasses of water per day, every day, and at least three activities per week that involve sweating. This includes any form of vigorous exercise, supplemented with sauna if you have access to one. While doing my sauna experiment I discovered that we actually sweat out toxic plastics! And even more interesting, certain chemicals come out of our sweat more readily than our urine, the other main water-based detox system we have. So of all the detox systems I researched I was most impressed by the importance of our internal water cycle and the simple idea of drinking lots of water and sweating. What’s more, sweating in a sauna does wonders for your skin. I literally had colleagues I barely knew commenting on my skin while I was in the middle of my intense sauna experiment (where admittedly I overdid it to the point of passing out).

If you can’t, grab a piece of fruit instead, especially if you show signs you’re eating too much sugar. Look for sugar-free varieties of foods such as ketchup, mayonnaise, and salad dressing. Also, avoid partially hydrogenated foods, and look for more than two grams of fiber per 100 calories in all grain products. Finally, a short ingredient list means fewer flavor enhancers and empty calories. Sounds impossible, but you can actually learn how to give up sugar without missing it.
Hi Cassey! Thanks so much for such an informative post. I’m 16 years old and have had an ongoing struggle with learning to love my body. When these first became popular a year or so ago, I was very tempted by them. The advertising is so dangerous and *really* appeals to people who are more susceptible to developing an eating disorder. I’m glad I never gave in, though, because there really isn’t any shortcut with this sort of thing.

It was really good, it really works on me, the taste it was really good I’m tea drinker and I said this taste is really good. I drink it twice a day and it really work on me, I felt I lost weight, until I finished it. So I can’t wait for the next order. Then here comes the 2nd order, I was so excited, so when I made my first tea bag. I’ve noticed the taste was really different. It wasn’t taste like the first one I ordered. My husband knows about it, he tried my first one too. So I asked him for this second order to taste it. I told him its tasteless it wasn’t really like the first one. So when asked my husband to try it too, he said yes its tasteless. And he said you have to stop the subscription maybe this is fake. I send an e-mail a week ago, and I told but no response yet. I want to send it back and get a refund. This is so disappointing.

Hi, this was a great article. I was actually really confused by a lot of this stuff. I’ve been trying to gain lean mass with working out as much as I possibly could, but it’s been rather difficult with all these random rubbish diet plans. I have the odd case of being skinny in my arms and retaining fat by the stomach area, which is REALLY annoying.

I have been using FitTea for almost 3 months now and yes it’s water weight – but for someone on a weight loss journey water weight is a good start. It makes me feel less bloated. There is nothing wrong with that. Your blog lost absolutely all creditability as you’re being paid to do the same thing these models are. It doesn’t bother me that models are being paid for product placement. I don’t care. FitTea seems to lower my bloating – I don’t believe and will never believe that one item will make me lose weight.
