Yes John. I wish I had taken the time to read all the reviews before I went ahead and purchased South Beach Diet. I only wanted a one month trial to make sure I wanted the subscription or not. The crook on the other end told me that the monthly package was 500 dollars and in order for me to get the $345 deal I had to agree to a two months purchase. I stressed to him that all I needed was the two months and no more. He assured me that it was all he was going to bill for. I got a 3rd shipment and my credit card was charged this month. I called to tell them it was a mistake, they tell me no, I automatically signed up for a continuous subscription the moment I received the 2nd package. There is absolutely no refund and they will not accept the food back. The food is not fresh when you get it, it has no variety, most of it is chili and some rotten really bad tasting chicken dish. Not a good way to do business. Terrible. I pray every one gets to read this review before purchasing anything from these people. I begged them to listen to the so called recorded conversation between myself and their sales person, they refused. I am sure they encourage the deceptive practice anyway. I posted a review and they took it down. Thieves.
The Hammonds—husband Joel (Timothy Olyphant), wife Sheila (Drew Barrymore), and daughter Abby (Liv Hewson)—are a typical middle-class family living in suburban Santa Clarita, with Joel and Sheila working as real-estate agents for the same firm. While showing a house to potential buyers, Sheila throws up a great deal of vomit and a strange red ball of flesh. This causes them to lose the house's listing to their co-worker, the sleazy Gary West (Nathan Fillion). After vomiting, however, Sheila begins to show changes to her personality, becoming bolder and more impulsive. She exhibits physical changes as well, such as the lack of a heartbeat, thickening blood, and a strong craving for raw meat. Their neighbor's son Eric (Skyler Gisondo) suggests that Sheila may have become a zombie, a fact the family soon confirms. The Hammonds now face the challenge of having to keep Sheila fed on human flesh without alerting the authorities, especially their cop neighbors.

Basically, yes and no. Low-carb diets can lower your body weight faster than low-energy diets, but not without cost. Your body needs energy to survive, just as any nutrient in food, and carbohydrates provide it as the most convenient form. Getting the energy from proteins really doesn't make a whole lot of sense if you look at it in terms of our evolutionary history. Early humans (in the Paleolithic period) were generally agreed to be long distance runners, who would chase animals till they died of exhaustion, or became paralyzed by heat stroke and could not run or fight when caught up with by their hunters. Humans are one of the few species that are able to run for long distances at close to max speed, and we used this to chase prey animals 15-20 miles until we could just club them to death. This is, first of all, not a method of hunting that lends itself to a high protein diet. And as any long distance runner or cyclist will tell you, you need carbs a lot more than you need protein when you're doing a long run.[8]

South Beach Diet is OK. There are a lot of complaints on this page,and here’s what I’ll say. People don’t like the small portions and frozen food, but it was my bad decisions with food (and big portions) that made me have to go on a diet like South Beach to begin with. If you are going to try meal delivery diet, try Nutrisystem instead. It’s cheaper, a little better, and even made by the same company as South Beach Diet!

Hi, great reviews & information. I’m trying to decide between Southbeach or OPTAVIA. 10years ago when I was 32yr I did the SB diet (following the original book version) I was very happy with results. Now in my 40’s (3 kids later) I’m having a hard time keeping weight off. I saw another mom in her 40s at the gym she lost over 20lb with OPTAVIA. I looked up the program & it looks similar to SB new diet plan but a lot more expensive. Do you have any advice.
